The fourth and last part of the toyfair 2020 recap presents the novelties of BIG, AquaPlay, Smoby and Schuco.
At BIG, end consumers were able to decide which two colours the new Bobby Car Next should feature. The winning choices were the BIG Bobby Car NEXT Turquoise and the BIG Bobby Car NEXT Raspberry.
BIG is also due to launch a cool new pedal tractor, the BIG-Jim Dumper. The sturdy children’s vehicle is designed for young tractor drivers aged 3 and above. A particular highlight is the easy-to-use tipper with a large loading volume of six litres – ideal for transporting materials on toy construction sites.
Roll on the summer! The AquaPlay Adventure Land water slide is guaranteed to provide hours of action-packed fun. Designed for children aged 3 and above, it helps youngsters to learn about water, including how currents form and how their direction can be changed. Featuring secret places for hiding treasure, wild water slides and a beautiful design, it promises to keep little ones entertained for hours on end.
Designed by the French toy manufacturer Smoby Toys, the “Smoby Toys Chef Corner Restaurant” is the perfect toy for budding young chefs. It features a kitchen, a restaurant with a dining area and a counter with a checkout. The restaurant includes a number of realistic features and an extensive range of equipment – including a stove with an electric hob, a functional tap and ‘magic pasta’ that changes colour – all of which are designed to inspire creativity.
Loving care and first aid are the theme of the new toy cat range from Smoby Toys. The range includes a cat house, toy cars, a cat carrier and a suitcase with a toy vet set, which guarantee to provide hours of fun.
The Baby Care Center from Smoby Toys is the perfect toy for budding young doctors and comes with all the tools that your little one needs to look after their favourite doll. These include scales, a measuring stick, an eye test chart, an ECG display and patient records. There is also a doctor’s briefcase for on-the-go treatment.
This year Schuco is launching numerous limited edition model vehicles with a highly detailed design. This includes the Simson Schwalbe – the most successful motorcycle in German history in terms of production volume. The Simson Schwalbe KR 51/1 is one of the highlights of Schuco’s premium, highly detailed 1:10 classic motorcycle range.
The Japanese car tuner Akira Nakai runs one of the world’s most exclusive tuning companies under the brand name Rauh Welt RWB. The Porsche Tuning models Rauh Welt RWB 964 and 993 in the Schuco 1:43 range are the perfect addition to any Porsche model collection.
Another new addition is a 1:18 model of the VW T1b racing car transporter “Continental Motors”. This unusual vehicle combination consists of a VW T1 towing vehicle and trailer and was used for “club races” in Florida during the 1950s.
